Scaling Customer Reporting for a Global Issuer Processor

ART replaced a global issuer processor's basic job scheduler with an automated reporting engine that serves more than 500 clients. Reports are aligned with Visa and Mastercard requirements, and card data is handled securely throughout.

The opportunity

A global issuer processor produced its client reporting on a basic job-scheduling system. It could not keep pace with new client requirements, could not run reports in parallel, and struggled with delays in presentment files.

Any replacement also had to maintain PCI compliance and handle original card numbers, or PAN data, securely.

The transformation

ART built an automated reporting engine that schedules, checks, prepares and delivers each client's reports.

  1. 01

    SQL framework for recurring reports

ART developed a SQL framework for recurring reports, with chained jobs and presentment monitoring that waits for the required external inputs before a report runs.

  2. 02

    Validation before delivery

ART built rule-based validation and error detection that blocks faulty reports and alerts teams to any mismatch, so bad data is stopped before upload.

  3. 03

    Client-specific report templates

ART used a .NET layer to split master datasets into client-specific templates, so each client receives reports prepared for its own requirements.

  4. 04

    Encrypted delivery with retries

ART encrypted reports before delivery and added automatic retries and error logging, maintaining PCI compliance and secure handling of PAN data throughout.

Impact

Billionsof transactions the engine is built to process
